The clay sculpture of the Mesopotamian idol is complete and the mold is underway. I feel like we did a fantastic job of finding all the important details and getting them placed on the statue. All the nitty gritty details that went into this guy (beard features, feathers, some ornamentation) had been mass producing in molds, and then were attached to the sculpture. The wings were made separately and will be attached to the plaster cast at a later date. We are still playing with the technique we will use to replicate the look of Alabaster stone. For that we are looking to use an old renaissance technique of "painting" milk on the plaster (its not supposed to smell).
